Abigail Enright is a gay filmmaker and photographer whose childhood was spent in a small town along the rugged Northern California coastline, an upbringing that figures strongly in her dreamlike visual style. After studying Fine Arts in San Francisco, she moved to Austin, Texas where she began her career as a photographer and set designer. Marrying her experience in both photography and set design, she began to direct music videos, commercials and short films – all while continuing her work as a stills photographer. Abigail’s work explores new ways to break down the wall between art and documentary storytelling, while her textural imagery and distinct visual language remain consistent.
